New Here?

Welcome to the historic Anglican Communion! We are part of a global family, which has 80 million members in over 165 countries. The Anglican worship is based on the Book of Common Prayer that was first complied in 1549 by Thomas Cranmer. While the Book of Common Prayer has since undergone many revisions, it is still acknowledged as one of the ties that bind the Anglican Communion together. Our service today is based on the Book of Common Prayer of 1662. For more information on CTR, please contact Fr. Chris.

What is the Anglican Communion?

First, we are a great big family. And, that’s just what our heavenly Father wants us to be – brothers and sisters in Christ, from every tongue, tribe, and nation around the world. And so we are.  Like every family, we have our joys, and we have our struggles. Yet, we are ultimately bound by the Christian Faith and Order given to us by our Lord in Scripture, propelled by the Great Command and the Great Commission.

What is the historic faith?

The Anglican Communion declares that the Bible is our final authority for faith and morals. Moreover, we are bound by the historic Creeds. To read more about our beliefs, visit the web sites above. The three historic creeds are as follows:

The Apostles’ Creed

The Nicene Creed

The Athanasian Creed

What is the historic Order?

The Church has always upheld the biblical 3-fold order of offices: bishop, priest, and deacon, as the historic Order of the Church. Additionally, the ministry of the laity is integral to the work of the Body of Christ in mission and ministry.

What are Sunday mornings like at CTR?

Every Sunday morning, we worship in the way our Lord prescribed his people to worship: Do this in remembrance of me. Therefore in our order of service, we sing praises to God; we hear the Word of God; we make our confession of sin; we receive Holy Communion; we give our tithe;and we are commissioned to go out into the world to make disciples of all nations.

We can't wait to meet you!

What we believe at CTR is that God's Word has the ability to change our lives.  Wherever your journey has taken you so far, you can choose the next chapter.  As a church we apply the truth of the Bible to our everyday lives and share life together as a community.
